J.P. LeNoir Elementary had its first literacy night of the 2016 – 2017 school year based on the school theme of Fairy Tales. Students got actively engaged with activities ranging from phonics (Frozen) to science activities of growing a bean plant (Jack and the Bean Stock). The cheerleaders did the opening act followed by the LeNoirette Dancers. The Gold Star Choir along with a group of 2nd and 3rd graders performed songs including “Crunchy Leaves”, “Hola de Nuevo” and “Sing us a Song” to conclude the event.
