J.P. LeNoir Elementary GT fifth grade students took on the role of mentors for kindergarten students at their library.  While the Scholastic Book Fair was taking place, the 5th graders read  aloud with a younger classmate to help encourage reading as soon as they enter school. The purpose and hope is to boost the confidence of kindergarten students and some 5th graders who said they want to be teachers when they grow up.  The 5th graders were excited to be given the opportunity to serve as positive role models.
