J.S. Adame Elementary is one of 130 school libraries from 30 states across the country (and the only one from Donna ISD) that is the recipient of the 2016 Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries Grant.  This grant is awarded to the nation’s neediest schools so they can extend, update, and diversify the book collections in their libraries with the goal of encouraging students to develop a love for reading and learning.

Once a child learns to use a library, the doors to learning are always open.

Mrs. Laura Bush

Adame Elementary’s library received $6,800 which will be used to order new books and materials for the school.
